About

The first episode of Nonprofit Radio Month at Foundation Center features Foundation Center President Brad Smith with Hispanics in Philanthropy’s President and CEO Ana Marie Argilagos in conversation with Tony Martignetti.

The U.S. possesses a degree of philanthropic infrastructure unparalleled in any other nation. As the country’s political climate reaches a crisis point, what potential can be found in foundations and other “third sector” organizations to effect real change and create a more democratic society?

In this session, Tony will be joined by Foundation Center’s president Brad Smith, and Ana Marie Argilagos, the president and CEO of Hispanics in Philanthropy. Brad and Ana Marie both work closely with foundations as a means of strengthening the social sector. In Foundation Center’s case, the intention is to make use of knowledge and data to build a more thriving philanthropic community, while at Hispanics in Philanthropy, a transnational network strives to help Latino nonprofits access funds to generate impact in their communities. Gather new insights on how, in times of turbulence, foundations and nonprofits can leverage their work and their voices as a tool for collective power. Learn more about the types of results that are currently being achieved by organizations, and potential roles that philanthropy can take on going forward.

Join us at 1-2 pm ET on Fridays in September for all 4 episodes in Nonprofit Radio Month at Foundation Center:
